Sorry, forgot one thing: The name of the school is Nevada Union, and we
are located in the beautiful, scenic foothills of the Sierra Nevada. We're
halfway between the North Shore of Tahoe and Sacramento, so we've got it
all: city life and the outdoors.

NOTE: THIS IS AN AD FOR A DEBATE COACH. IF YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED, DELETE.
OTHERWISE, PLEASE READ ON.

I know that I sent this to the list earlier, but the situation just
improved a little bit and I wanted to let anyone know who was interested in
teaching debate that a posistion opened up.
Just recently, the situation changed. The debate coaching posisition is
still open, with the likelihood of having an NFL debate class, but many
more teaching posisitions recently opened up. We have openings in English
and social science (history and gov/econ), and I was wondering if anyone is
still interested in coaching the program. Obviously, you would need a
degree in teaching one of these things.
Our budget for next year is 6500 (as of now, but will likely increase),
there is a lot of parental support, and most importantly, all the kids do a
low and are really dedicated. This will be my fourth year and my third
camp, (DDI), and we are sending one other debater to DDI. We're also
sending about 4-5 kids to MNDI, one to CDE, two more to Stanford, and
probably one or two more somewhere else. We do well at all the tournaments
we go to, league and invitational. At Berekly, we had two teams go 5-3, and
one other go 4-4. One of our debaters also was in the top 25 speakers. Many
of the kids also do I.E.'s, some by choice, some by force.
Anyways, the program is looking good for next year - in terms of support:
parents, debaters, money, administration - but we're still looking for a
full-time rippin' coach.
