Alan Coverstone asked me to post the following. Reply to him, not me.

Experienced College Debaters and Coaches:

The Montgomery Bell Academy hosts a distinctive high school debate
tournament each January. The hospitality, competition, and judging at this
tournament are typically excellent. Your participation in this annual event
is essential to the outstanding competitive effort we offer. We appreciate
those of you who have attended and supported the tournament over the years.

We are again soliciting a number of highly qualified and experienced debate
judges for this year's tournament. We are particularly interested in
securing several juniors, seniors, and coaches from your squad whose
willingness to judge makes ours a truly unique high school experience. Our
tournament runs opposite of the UM-KC tournament, but we would love to have
any of you who are not already committed that weekend. If you are interested
in this opportunity, please contact me (Alan Coverstone) at
coversa@montgomerybell.com or (615)298-5514 x317 during the day or (615)
353-7976 in the evening. The second number is attached to an answering
machine, and I will gladly return your call if you leave your name and number.

This year's tournament will be held January 9-10, 1999. Registration for the
tournament (and judge check in) will occur downtown at the Westin Hermitage
Hotel after 7:00 on January 8th.

Thank you in advance for your assistance. Remuneration and directions, as
well as further information concerning the high school coaching reception,
will be provided upon request.

Sincerely,
Alan Coverstone
