Hey everyone,
I hope everyone had a very good summer. i have seen a few of you out
judging on the circuit. I hope the rest of you are doing well also.
At any rate, Its that time again!!!! THE REX FLEMING MEMORIAL hosted by
Memorial High School in Houston, Texas is only 4 weeks away. We have had
many compliments from last years tournament and i know that a great deal
of that response is directed toward all of you who came and helped out.
The tournament will be Nov. 13-14th as posted in the subject line. For
those of you who have not judged at our tournament before we offer:
-Tournament of Champions level of competiton (semifinals qualifier)
-6 rounds of ccx debate breaking to octas
-5 rounds of cld breaking to doube octas (single flighted out rounds)
-novice cx and ld (4 rounds breaking to octas)
-plenty of IEs for cld and novice division judges to judge
-we pay $10 a round for any event that you judge
-the ABSOLUTE BEST FOOD provided for judges on the circuit including
vegetarian and vegan dishes
-***we also pay qualified high school debaters $5 a round to judge
ncx and n-l/d.(THIS IN NO WAY VIOLATES UIL RULES-I CHECKED!)
We feel that judging is one of the most important factors to a
successful tournament. We hope that you will take time out to judge for
us the weekend of Nov. 13-14th. If you are interested, please respond to
