Subject: NDCA LINCOLN-DOUGLAS TASK FORCE
The board of the National Debate Coaches Association met in Dallas on
Saturday. Among other business, the board unanimously approved the
establishment of a Task Force on Lincoln-Douglas, to be headed by Glenda
Ferguson.
This task force is charged with:
1) Surveying the opinions of the NDCA membership in particular and the
community at large on desirable reforms in Lincoln-Douglas practice, with
particular focus on 1) alternative speech times/orders and 2) disclosure of
decisions.
2) Making recommendations for reform, if warranted.
3) Developing a packet of excellent Lincoln-Douglas pedagogical materials.
