Sixth Annual

COLLEYVILLE HERITAGE
WINTER INVITATIONAL

January 18-19, 2002

Dear Colleagues,

Please accept this as your personal invitation to attend the sixth annual
Colleyville Heritage Winter Invitational TFA Qualifier to be held on January
18th and 19th at Colleyville Heritage High School. We are proud that we
continue to be a TOC tournament with a finals bid in both CX and LD Debate.
We are excited about our program and want to begin 2002 by offering you
outstanding competition, judges, and hospitality.

We continue to offer new schedules to accommodate the diverse interests of
our guests: our tournament will be offering two independent divisions -
Interp and Public Speaking. Each division will have its own sweepstakes
award. There will also be a Grand Sweepstakes Award.

The Interp division will offer two prelim rounds in each event. Students
may enter up to four events in the Interp division. Debate, Extemp, and
Oratory will be offered in the Public Speaking Division. It will have five
prelim rounds of varsity debate and four prelim rounds of novice debate.
Students will not be allowed to cross enter between the two divisions, with
the exception of original oratory- students in either division may compete
in oratory. CX debaters may only enter CX.

In order to prepare for our tournament amidst the busy holiday season we
would prefer the preliminary entries as soon as possible. We expect to
reach capacity before the final deadline. Of course, you may add additional
entries as space allows. Names of contestants and judges may be sent the
week before the tournament. If entered in debate, you are required to have
at least one varsity judge available through the first elimination round.
Additionally, a debate judge is required as long as you have students in
competition.

We hope that you will join us in Colleyville in January to help us continue
our tradition of excellence. Best wishes for a Happy Holiday Season!!!

Sincerely,
