hey everybody

Awhile back, I made an announcement about the 2001 Brown University Speech and Debate tournament. The mailing list and I both received lots of letters about the choice of date for the tournament. After talking with lots of people, we've decided to move the day of the tournament.

No weekend is perfect, of course, but I think we've found one that will probably be more convenient for everybody.

The 2002 Brown University Speech and Debate Tournament will be held on January 26-28, 2002. There will be L-D, C-X, Congress, and IE competition. L-D competitors will be asked to first consider competing at the Manchester tournament instead of ours, out of respect for a well-established and regarded tournament.

Housing will be provided for the schools that request it. For more information, email me: whn@brown.edu.

Thanks, and I hope to see you all in January.

Yours,

William Newman
Tournament Director
Brown Debating Union
