Dear Debate Coach,

The administration, coaches, and debaters of East High School cordially
invite you and your students to compete at the East Fall Classic Debate
Tournament on November 8-9, 2002. We will host competition in three
divisions: Championship Debate, Novice Debate, and Student Congress.
Registration is from 2:30 to 3:15 pm in the Auditorium; first round of
debate starts at 3:45 and congress begins on Saturday.

DATE: November 8-9, 2002

EVENTS: Championship Debate, Novice Debate, Student Congress

CONGRESS: Saturday only.  Please mail or Fax bills to East High School by
Thursday, October 31, 2002.

TOPIC: We will debate the current N.F.L. topic.

FEES: $30.00 per team, $10 per congress entrant

JUDGING: Please provide one adult judge per two teams in debate and one
adult judge per 7 congress entrants.  Hired judges in debate are $85.00 per
uncovered team and $50 per uncovered congress entrants; hired judging
requests are due Friday, October 18. Students are not allowed to judge in
novice debate without prior permission; please do not assume you can cover
your obligations with high school students; you can't.

HOUSING: Very limited housing is available with East students through
Friday, October 18, 2002. Please contact Ms. Wickersham immediately if you

DUE DATES: Please register by 3:30 pm Tuesday, October 30, 2002. Housing and
hired judging requests are due by Friday, October 18, 2002. Congress bills
Faxed by Friday, October 25.
