Dear Colleagues,

The Greenhill Debate team cordially invites you to attend the 17th annual Greenhill Fall Classic Debate Tournament on September 20-22, 2003. We will try to offer you and your students not only outstanding academic competition but also a pleasant tournament experience. Please notice the tournament schedule. Lincoln-Douglas Debate rounds will be held on Saturday and Sunday. Policy rounds will be held Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. Greenhill is proud to be designated as a University of Kentucky Tournament of Champions qualifying tournament for both cross-examination teams and Lincoln-Douglas debaters reaching the octo-finals. Last year, 122 cross-examination teams and 136 Lincoln-Douglas debaters from 19 states competed in the Fall Classic. We expect an outstanding and competitive field this year as well. Entries must be received by Monday, September 9th. However, we recommend you enter at the earliest possible date. Those coaches requesting a second team will be notified no later than August 29th to give you at least 21 days to purchase airline tickets if need be. We have been full long before the deadline in the past several years so please enter early to ensure entry. Please read the section on the new entry procedures. All entries must be submitted on the website at www.joyoftournaments.com. The website will accept entries on 7/30/03 Please do not email or call in entries - they will not be accepted.

We are using the same host hotel as last year. Registration will take place on Friday evening at the Renaissance Hotel (located at 635 and Midway, phone number: 972-385-9000) between 7:30 and 10:30 p.m. This year we will again have a hospitality suite set up during registration for coaches and judges to show our appreciation for you attending our tournament. In addition, the hotel has agreed to construct a "student friendly" menu at the restaurant in the hotel to allow all attending to catch up with those you might not have seen since last year.

We hope you can attend!!

Sincerely,

Aaron Timmons Jas Brar
