Dear all,
We cordially invite any and all freshman and second year policy and
Lincoln-Douglas debaters to the 1st Annual Hockaday-St. Markâ^À^Ùs
Frosh-Soph Open.
The tournament will be held from 8am-6pm all day Friday and Saturday
March 11&12, 2005. The tournament will feature 8 rounds for all. No
elimination rounds will be held, but awards will be provided for the top
16 debate teams and the top 16 LD debaters.
The purpose of the tournament is not to establish another national
championship, but simply to provide a lot of experience for new debaters.
We hope you will join us. All debates will be held at the Sheraton hotel
â^À^Ó where the LD & Public Forum debates were held for this yearâ^À^Ùs
Heart of Texas invitational. A small block of rooms is available at the
Westin hotel for $83/night. You can make those reservations any time
after December 7.
