On January 30-31, 1998, the La Cueva High School Speech and Debate Team
will host its annual Cave Classic Tournament. The seniot Lincoln-Douglas
category is a Tournament of Champions (TOC) qualifier in the final round. We
invite you to attend our tournament.
Rounds of competition begin at 3 pm on Friday, January 30, and feature
six preliminary rounds plus semis and finals. For travel arrangements, the
final round will nor begin before 5 pm Saturday and awards are scheduled after
7 pm on Saturday.
If you will be traveling alone, you may request housing on a first come-
first served basis. If your coach and ohter members of your team are
interested in attending, the Cave Classic is a full tournament with individual
events, Student Congress, and both novice and senior levels of policy and
Lincoln-Douglas debate. Please write or call for a full invitation.
We hope that your debate year is going well and that you are in the
market for a TOC oppurtunity. We hope to hear from you soon.
