Warner Robins High School of Warner Robins, Georgia cordially invites you
to attend the twelfth annual forensics tournament on the weekend of October
31-November 1, 1997.

	All events will offer five prelim rounds.  The three divisions of policy
debate will each use the 8-3-5, two person format.  Varsity, JV, and novice
will break to octofinals.  Novice debaters should be in their first year of
debate with no more than six prior tournaments and junior varsity debaters
should be in their first or second year of competition.  Novice teams WILL
debate both sides of the resolution.  LD debaters will use the SEPT.-OCT.
topic: "Resolved: Global concerns ought to be valued above conflicting
national concerns."  
	Warner Robins High is honored to have been selected as one of the six
tournaments where varsity semifinalists qualify to participate in the
prestigious Richard B. Russell All-State Debate Tournament.  
	Dramatic Interpretation, humorous interpretation, extemp., original
oratory, LD, and duo interpretation will follow traditional rules.  Lincoln
Douglas and policy debaters may NOT double enter.  Competitors in other
events may double enter, but no triple-entries are allowed.  Student
Congress will be offered on Saturday during elimination rounds for any
interested students.  Bills will be provided.
	Please note the deadline for entries (Monday October 27).  If you have
need for hired judges, we strongly encourage you to register before October
22.  Pre-registration will be on a first-come, first-serve basis.  Schools
will be charged team and drop fees for late changes.  Please notify us of
any judge conflicts when you register.
	The hired judge fee of $75  for every two debate teams or five I.E.
speakers covers the cost of retaining these judges for elimination rounds.
EACH SCHOOL MAY HIRE NO MORE THAN ONE JUDGE.  Student judges must have
debated in atleast seven tournaments in their career.
	Our parents are once again planning to feed you well.  Please join us for
a competitive and congenial tournament!

Please make emergency changes before NOON on Friday, October 31 by calling 
912-929-7877.  There will be an extra $10.00 charge for EACH change or drop
after noon on Friday. 

FEES:

Individual Events, LD Debate  $8 per entry ($16 for double-entry or duo)
V/JV/n Debate                 $25 per team
Hired Judges                  $75 per 2 policy teams or 4 LD'ers or 5 I.E.'ers
Student Congress (Sat. 1-4)   No charge (no pre-regis. required)

	A one-half judge ($37.50) is required for each two policy or LD debaters.
One fifth ($15) is required for each single I.E. entry.  Duo interpretation
counts as two I.E. entries for fees but only one entry for judge
requirements.  Judging fees will be determined by subtracting total number
of judges brought in all events from total judges needed in all events.
	Entries by e-mail will receive a reply.  Varsity and LD designations: A,
B, C, D, E, F.  JV designations: J, K, L, M, O, P.  Novice: T, U, W, X, Y,
Z.  Designate judges as "Debate-adult," "Debate-student," or "I.E."  Please
send full names of debaters, individual events speakers, and judges by Oct.
29.
