Whitman HS Tournament Invitation
We invite you to the 25th Annual High School Speech Tournament at Whitman
College, nestled in the Walla Walla valley and buttressed by the Blue
Mountains in the Southeast of beautiful Washington State. The tournament
will be held Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15, 1997 and features
outstanding hospitality and competition. Last year, 70 squads from
Washington, Oregon, and Idaho attended the tournament. We anticipate a
strong turnout in debate and individual events again for this year's
tournament and extend a welcome to squads from California, Arizona,
Montana, and Utah who have expressed interest in attending.
Friday and Saturday, November 14 and 15
Debate
6 rounds of debate plus Octa-finals (5 rounds in novice division)
4 divisions of Policy Debate; 4 divisions of Lincoln-Douglas Debate
TOC qualifier in finals, Policy; semi-finals, LD.
Individual Events
3 rounds plus finals
9 Individual Events in Junior and Senior Division
Student Congress
2 rounds plus finals
Junior and Senior Division
