Subject: LEXINGTON WINTER TOURNAMENT 1999
The Lexington Winter Tournament will be held January 15-17, 1999. We offer
varsity and novice divisions in policy and one happy open division in
Lincoln-Douglas. Varsity policy and LD will break to octas or partial doubles;
novice policy to octas. We are a TOC quarterfinals qualifer in both LD and
policy. Last year teams from 20 states (including Alaska, California,
Washington state and Florida) and the District of Columbia attended.
We offer free housing, several free meals, good administration, and excellent
judging. LD and novice policy are done on Saturday night. Many schools will
be able to take advantage of the Martin Luther King holiday to tour Lexington,
Concord and Boston, or to visit nearby colleges. (Lexington is ten miles west
of Boston, as Paul Revere rides.)
Lexington is twelve from Logan International Airport. We are also a little
over an hour's drive from either Providence Airport or Manchester (NH)
Airport; both of these airports are served by Southwest Airlines and its
inspired competitor, US Air Metrojet. Their fares are very low.
An email version of the full invitation can be obtained by writing to this
email address.
