Subject: Whitman HS Tournament
We invite you to the 26th Annual High School Speech Tournament at Whitman College, nestled in the Walla Walla valley and buttressed by the Blue Mountains. The tournament will be held Thursday evening, Friday and Saturday, November 6, 7 and 8, 1998 and features outstanding hospitality and competition. Last year, 62 squads from Washington, Oregon, and Idaho attended the tournament.
DEBATE
ˇ 4 Divisions of Policy Team Debate¯Championship, Senior, Junior, Novice.
ˇ 4 Divisions of Lincoln-Douglas Debate -- Championship, Senior, Junior, Novice.
ˇ 6 rounds plus octa-finals
ˇ We will follow the OFFICIAL WA/NW NOVICE CASE LIST.
ˇ Speaker awards in both Policy and Lincoln-Douglas Debate.
INDIVIDUAL EVENTS
ˇ 9 Individual Events in both Senior and Junior Division.
ˇ Students can triple enter! We have longer individual events rounds¯so students have the time.
ˇ 3 rounds plus finals
ˇ Student Congress will continue to be offered.
