Dear Debaters and Coaches:
Manchester High School is pleased to invite you and your students
to our twenty-third annual Lasagne Luncheon Citizen Judged tournament on
Saturday, January 22, 2000. The tournament will offer competition in
policy and Lincoln-Douglas debate. We will provide the citizens of
Manchester as judges in the policy division. The tournament will be run
with administrative accuracy, on-time performance, and some great food and
entertainment.
INVITATIONAL INFORMATION:
DATE: Saturday, January 22, 2000.
REGISTRATION: Registration should be received by January 18. There will
be a limit of six policy teams and six Lincoln-Douglas debaters from each
school.
FOOD: A lasagne luncheon on Saturday will be provided at no additional cost.
COST: $40 per policy debate team, $20 per L-D debater.
JUDGING: L-D - one qualified judge per three debaters or fraction thereof
should be provided. Please be sure to bring trained and experienced L-D
judges to the competition. Policy: we provide the judges from our
citizens.. Judges may be hired for $75.00 in L-D. We regret that we cannot
hire fractions of judges. Requests for hired judging cannot be honored
after January 11.
TOPIC: Varsity competitors will argue this year's national topic on
Education. L-D will follow the January - February NFL RESOLUTION.

Approach the Hub of the Universe on the Mass Pike or Route 95.
Take Route 128 North to the second Manchester exit - "School St. " (exit 15)
Go right
Through flashing lights
Take second left after the flashing lights (Lincoln St.)
High School will be on left, 300 yards east on Lincoln St.
