Subject: NDCA Tournament
The National Debate Coaches Association will host the second annual NDCA
Tournament in Policy and LD Debate the weekend of November 5-7 at Woodward
Academy in Atlanta. The tournament funds many of the NDCA educational
programs including the Barton Scholars Program which funds summer institute
work for coaches. Please come.
Friday: November 5th
4:00 p.m. Registration at Woodward (early registration at the Ramada Plaza)
4:30 p.m. Round One
6:30 p.m. Round Two
8:30 p.m. Round Three
Saturday: November 6th

10:00 a.m. Special Program at the Ramada Plaza for Students and Coaches
1:30 p.m. Round Four
3:30 p.m. Round Five
6:30 p.m. Round Six
9:00 p.m. Partial elim round if necessary
Sunday: November 7th--Tutorials all Day
8:00 a.m. Elimination Rounds Continue
Attending schools should be able to make early evening flights home.
The Policy division will debate the national resolution and will observe the
standard 8-3-5 format with 10 minutes prep. The Lincoln-Douglas division
will debate the November NFL topic and observe the modified 5-3-6-3-6-5-3
format. Entry fees will be $65.00 for Policy and $45.00 for LD. All profit
will benefit NDCA service programs.
One full time judge is required for every two teams or LD entries. Our
preference would be to have the debate director serve as the judge. A
limited number of hired judges are available for $85.00 per uncovered entry.

There are no limits on entries per school. Entries will be accepted until
room capacity has been reached.
The Ramada Plaza will host the event. It is located only a few minutes from
the Woodward campus and only a few miles from the airport. The special rate
for the tournament is $69.00 per night per room. Please call the hotel and
identify yourself as associated with the NDCA tournament: 404-768-7800.
