Subject: The Round-Up at St. Marks--Rescheduled Date
Howdy,
The weather in Texas is big too. Since our guests were unable to see the
Texas-sized sleet storm in January, we thought you might enjoy some more
traditional Texas weather later in the spring, say, an F-5 tornado?
The Novice Round-Up at St. Mark's has been rescheduled for the weekend of May
12-14, 2000 in Dallas. Great thanks to those who contributed to the
rescheduling process. Ultimately, May 12-14 while late in the year, was best
for most of the schools planning to attend and for our school calendar.
Those who were not planning to attend the first time around are certainly
welcome to join us in May. A new invitation mailing will follow this note
next week. The divisions and schedule remain the same--first year debaters
in both policy and LD, two debates Friday afternoon, four debates Saturday
and elimination rounds on Sunday. There will be hotel information coming
soon, and I suspect we will again be at the Renaissance Hotel of North Dallas.
The two teams in the final round of the policy division will earn automatic
invitations to the Sophomore Hoe-Down next October.
Please join us in May.
