I know Semis and Finals have been posted, but the rest deserves attention.
And so, (regretfully without seeding)... the results of TFA state from
doubles on. There were over 150 competitors who qualified in LD this year,
so each of these 32 who broke deserve recognition. It took a 4-1 to break
with 82 adjusted speaker points. I have the names for everyone, but only
the schools for those I know. Special congrats to the Westwood boys for all
for breaking.

Doubles.

Orjit Ghoshal (Grapevine) over Alex Schnieders (Churchill)
Sara Flores over Gigi Garmendia (Hockaday)
Angela Hughes over Curt Drake (Taft)
Mike Ongstad (Lee) over Emiliano Rodriguez
Adam Cox (South Garland) over Ashleigh Collins (Grapevine)
Brandon Grossman (Memorial) over Dean Baskin (Westwood)
Kristen Ray over David Bartlett
Valerie Weaver over Son Hong
Ryan Russel over Peter Fan (RL Turner)
Joey Seiler (Westwood) over Andrew Downing
Sam Duby (Greenhill) over Barry Duong
Anand Desai (Alief Elsik) over Sam Singh
Darius Horton (Smithson Valley) over Jeff Koegler
Stephen Babb (TMI) over Victor Wang
Christine Nguyen over Steve Pattyn (Westwood)
Tommy Clancy (Westwood) over Vinda Rao

Tommy Clancy over Orjit Ghoshal (4-1)

...i think all of that is accurate. Additional congrats to Eric from
Greenhill on winning 1st Place Speaker. And even more importantly,
congratulations to Reed "Bradford" Winegar on winning FOURTH PLACE in
domestic extemporaneous speaking. What a multitalented individual.

adios,
babb
