I don't know if somebody posted this yet, but here are the results from
this year's Silver and Black Invitational at Alta High School. As Lexy
already mentioned, the situation for the final round was interesting...

In semis, Mike and I chose not to debate because it was late at night, we
travel together, etc... The final round, which would have been between
Mike and Oscar, never occured for the same reasons, as Lexy mentioned in
her post. Because there were no more rounds after Oscar's semis round,
Mike, Oscar, and I essentially "closed out" the tournament. It should be
noted, though, that Mike did advance over me for the purposes of official
results/final round pairings, etc... As a quick explanation, the three
of us did not debate because it was late, we travel together and we're
very good friends. Also, Utah state law prohibits debate on Sunday and
it was getting close to Sunday. Sorry for that long-winded explanation,
but I think it might explain what happened in semis and finals.
On one final note, I'd like to thank Mr. Luong and Mr. Packer for their
hospitality and for holding a very good (and very fun) tournament. I had
a great time and they did a phenomenal job running the tournament.
