Subject:        Complete JV Harvard Results

Here are Complete JV Harvard Results. The Field was, if I remember
correctly, 252 people, and it broke to DOUBLE octos. Note that the JV
field was 3 less people than the varsity field, and half as many broke.
The cut was unbelieveably vicious. NO 4-2's broke. This, frankly is
ridiculous. People complained about this in the varsity field last year;
they should do the same for the JV field this year. With as many people
as there were, a cut to double octos was simply wrong. Well, with that
off my chest, here are results.

And in the final round, Kevin Clancy of Regis defeated Adi Kumar of
Randolph. Congrats to all, and to anyone involved in running tournaments
with large fiields, a request: Make the cut to break rounds reasonable.
It's insane for no 4-2's to break, especially at a tournament as
expensive as Harvard. if you're gonna charge a lot of money, make the
cut reasonable (and try to get the judges to the rounds in under a half
hour...). I know debate is supposed to be fun, but an unreasonable cut
takes a lot of the fun out of it.
