Subject: Louisiana State Results
The Louisiana High School Speech League held its State Tournament of
Champions(TC) this past weekend. In a very competitive field the
tournament broke to Quarterfinals. It took a 4-2 with 173 out of 180
speaker points.(No dropping of high low.)
Quarterfinals:
St. Thomas More(Brandon Pitre) d. Jesuit(Don Tantiplaphol) 3-0
Destrehan(Randi Friedman) d. Holy Cross(Michael Merritt) 3-0
Isidore Newman(Michael Osofsky) d. New Iberia(Mimi Cronan) 3-0
Bolton(Jaya Sharma) d. Jesuit(Michael Redmann) 2-1
Semifinals:
Pitre d. Friedman 3-0
Osofsky d. Sharma 3-0
Finals:
Pitre d. Osofsky 2-1
It was a very well run tournament. Congrats to all especially Brandon
Pitre for an excellent job.
