Subject:        Nebraska State Tournament LD results

For anyone who may be interested, here are the results in the Nebraska State
LD tournament, held at the University of Nebraska--Kearney last weekend. 51
debaters from 26 schools participated, and the tournament broke to
octafinals.

Aaron Duncan--Lincoln East defeated Casey Fielder--Hastings
Corinne McChesney--Lincoln High defeated Erin Willis--Omaha Mercy
Susannah Bohlke--Lincoln Southeast defeated Scott Michael--Millard North
David Rosen--Omaha Westside defeated Tim Kearns--Bellevue West
Dan Cabacungan--Lincoln East defeated Andrew Kenyon--Bellevue East
Lisa Wilcox--Columbus defeated Ahren Starr--Millard West
Marc Berger--Lincoln Southeast defeated Michaela Dunn--Omaha Mercy
Angie Robertson--Fremont defeated Eric Parkening--Fremont

Quarters:

Susannah Bohlke--Lincoln Southeast advanced over teammate Marc Berger (Marc
forfeitted to his teammate)
Dan Cabacungan--Lincoln East defeated Aaron Duncan--Lincoln East

Finals:

Susannah Bohlke (negating) defeated Dan Cabacungan on a 4-1: Robertson, Dunn,
Astley, and Lammers in the majority; Feagan dissenting.

Congratulations to coach Eric Sack of Lincoln Southeast and coaches Matt
Davis and Matt Molsen of Lincoln East for having all four semi-finalists, and
of course again congrats to Eric for coaching the state champion.

Special congratulations to Susannah Bohlke for finishing her outstanding
Nebraska debate career (she will be at TOC so I guess her career actually
isn't over with yet) with a state championship earned against one of the
toughest fields ever at State.
