A couple of comments:

First - Having judged novice debate as well as a few varsity debates
over the last 14 years, I can honestly say that the final round was one
of the best Novice debates I have seen. All of the judges were extremely
impressed, and both teams and their coaches are to be congratulated.

Second - A Massive Plug for this Tournament. Add it to your tournament
schedule next year. It has extremely good novice competition, it is well
run, it is well-timed and inexpensive enough to fit most programs, and
it gives Novices a tournament where they can get the attention and
respect that we cannot always give them at other tournaments. Lavish
gifts are given for everything from Best Ballot competitions to
surviving to judge the finals. Thanks to Greg Myrberg and everyone else
who ran a great show. You should go.

Third - Congrats to Northwestern for winning the NDT, from an old Alum.

Fourth- I must say that I feel a little bad about voting for Spanos,
since he is a Holocaust Revisionist.

HAVE A NICE DAY!!! - Mick Foley (god)
