Subject: Emory LD double-octa results
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Here are the results of double-octa's at Emory. I don't think I could be
totally accurate on the rest of the rounds (octa's and quarters) but I do
know that Jamal Sheikh from Vestavia Hills debated Michael Rosenberg from
Miami Palmetto in finals (no results yet) and that Rosenberg defeated
Maureen Havner from Memorial in semi's and Sheikh defeated David Vivero from
Christopher Columbus in semis.
In double octas, the following debaters won and earned TOC bids; and I
apologize that for many of these debaters (winners and those who bowed out),
I do not have names. Emory uses only B and F codes to identify the two
debaters from each school, and some I just don't know. I do know that 18
4-2's did not clear, so it took both an outstanding record and superior
speaking points to be in double-octa's.
