Subject: New Trier Results
Below are the results from the LD New Trier "Season Opener" Held this past
weekend in Winnetka IL. (Oct 9-10). Although we only had a division of 32
debaters, those debaters came from 10 schools from places as near as GBN and
as far as Valley and Miami - Palmetto.
We have no TOC bid. We broke to Quarters.
Quarters:
Glenbrook North SF defeated Miami Palmetto AD on a 3-0 (McCabe, Sayre,
Vavroch)
Elk Grove KF defeated Valley KM on a 3-0 (Peterson, Medlock, Mittlestadt)
Barrington LD defeated Marquette Univ. High TK on a 2-1 (Englert, Noyes [sat
out], Brown)
Miami Palmetto MR defeated Appleton West CC on a 2-1 (Woodhouse, Fowell,
Newton [sat out])
Semis
Miami - Palmetto MR defeated Glenbrook North SF on a 2-1 (Nedlock [sat out]
Sayre, Tuley)
Elk Grove KF defeated Barrington LD on a 3-0 (Woodhouse, Noyes, McCabe)
Finals
Miami - Palmetto MR (aff) defeated Elk Grove KF on a 3-0 (Mittlestadt,
Noyes, Anderson)
Congrats to Michael Rosenberg (Miami Palmetto MR) who won the tournament.
