A. Theory clarification.
The aff chose their advocacy in 1AC, now we choose ours in 1NC. The
resolution serves as a parameter for both, which ensures equal ground,
providing a better check on abuse than competition. The ballot forces
choice between the two advocacies. A permutation would be an illegitmate
shift of advocacy, since this is a negplan, not a counterplan, and
topicality is a superior check since everyone has to be prepared anyway,
since we switch sides.
B. Solvency
(insert solvency here. I mean YOUR solvency, not solvency for their
case.)
We ran advantages as separate observations off-case, and we also ran
disads to the aff off-case, and case args on case. We read any solvency
cards for their case (that is, ``negplan solves affcase.'') on the
affcase.
