THE ROAD TO THE SECOND TOC OF THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY
DATES: SATURDAY, SUNDAY, MONDAY
MAY 5,6, and 7 2001
TOURNAMENT HOTEL: RAMADA INN (FORMERLY THE HARLEY)
GUIDELINES FOR JUDGING AT THE TOC
1. Schools cannot use Parents as the school judge unless the parent is the
director of forensics or debate team or a paid assistant by the school.
2. First year out debaters cannot be listed as the school judge.
3. Schools submitting applications with a judge other than the director of
debate or employed assistant (by the school) must get the approval
of the TOC director before the person can be used.
4. First year out of high school debate students who are visiting at the
tournament can judge if asked by the TOC director and if both schools
in a given round approve the placement. The way it will work is this:
each school is permitted X number of strikes when filling out the judge
preference forms. Schools can strike as many freshman as they wish,
without these counting against their strike allotment.
