ACCEPTANCE LETTERS: Linda is in the process of preparing acceptance letters for all of those who have sent in an application. She will only mail acceptances once all the following conditions are met:
1. Names of teams
2. Places where qualifiers were earned
3. Adult Accompanying the team
4. Signature of Registar of principal certifying that the debaters are eligible
to receive a diploma from the school they are representing
5. Name of Judge/Hired Judge
6. Payment of all Fees
PLEASE, PLEASE READ ALL THE INFORMATION LISTED BELOW. IT IS VERY IMPORTANT IN THE PROCESSING OF YOUR APPLICATION.
NOTE: If you sent in an entry and it does not appear on this list, you should call us immediately. ALSO, CHECK SPELLING OF NAMES. MANY ENTRIES ARE VERY HARD TO READ. ALSO, WE HAVE BEEN KNOWN TO MAKE MISTAKES.
PLEASE CHECK THE FOLLOWING CAREFULLY:
1. The Spelling of All names - send us corrections
2. If it says "Judge Pending" that could mean several things. First, we may not
know whether the judge is a first year out or anything about
the qualifications of the judge. Please e-mail me the correct
information.
3. If you find that a School other than your own that has listed a first year out
or a parent not employed by the school, please notify me.
PLEASE NOTE: INCLUSION ON THIS LIST DOES NOT MEAN THE ENTRY HAS BEEN ACCEPTED, INSTEAD IT MEANS THAT IT HAS BEEN RECEIVED. WE STILL MUST PROCESS THE ENTRY TO SEE IF IT MEETS ALL THE REQUIREMENTS.
ALSO PLEASE NOTE: Now that the At-Large apps have gone to the Advisory committees, Linda will begin processing fully qualified entries. You will not be admitted and not receive a acceptance until all the following conditions have been met.
1. We must have verification that the adult is 21 years or older.
2. We must have your judging situation completed. (This means that no
first years can judge nor can parents not employed by the school.
No acceptances will be mailed to schools where "Approval Pending"
appears for your judge.)
3. Either the Registrar or the Principal must have signed a verification that
the debater is eligible to receive their diploma from the school
they are representing at the tournament.
4. All fees must be paid.
PLEASE NOTE AGAIN: The ADULT listed is the one accompaning the team and the one responsible for the team. That person must be 21 years of age or older.
PLEASE REMEMBER: The Judge as listed by the school must either be the director of debate or an employee of the school; otherwise, we will ask for the qualifications of the judge before approving them unless we already know the person's qualifications. Please remember that first year out of high school debaters cannot be used as the school judge.
