This afternoon, I called the UIL office and they gave me the topic that
will be used at district, regionals, and state:
R: Freedom of expression via the internet ought to be valued above
government regulation of that medium.
For the first time I can remember, I do believe that UIL has come up
with a better topic than NFL. I think this will yield some good debate,
so long as debaters avoid the obvious arguments based upon ignorant
presumptions.
